Sirupate kukri (1936)

This Sirupate kukri made in Dharan, east Nepal is 71 years old. It belonged to a farmer who used it while farming his whole life until he could farm no more. The kukri then got stored and never got used again. The leather case got destroyed and only the rusted worn out blade of this kukri remains. The handle on this kukri was shortened as he recalls as it fell from a tree cracking the wood at the end.

Materials
Hi carbon steel, rosewood handle
